We lost an icon – Coach Jerry Crumpton passed away Sunday, May 8th, 2022.
From His Wife Linda,
“50 years as a coach. Head coach in football, baseball, and golf. State tournament multiple times in golf, state tournament in baseball, and first asst offensive coordinator when McKinney won state in football – 1979. Jerry could tell you the number of athletes he coached who went to college and pros in all 3 sports but I listened and never wrote those down. He was so good about keeping up with them and encouraging them.”
Coach Crump was also a TAGC President helping us make great strides with UIL when he was in office. We would like to thank Jerry for everything he has done for High School Golf in the state. You made everyone better when you were around. We love you and know you are in a better place now.
